SCAVENGER HUNT RULES AND GUIDELINES:
Jim Taylor will post a few clues that will lead you to a bonus location so check back often. Most of these locations will have some historic significance and can be found by using Google or Google Earth.
To claim a Bonus simply figure out where you think it is and go find it! To claim the Boni you must take a picture of your bike in front of the location and be the first to bring it into Mikes Famous Harley-Davidson of Groton and show it to Jessica or e-mail the picture to jessicad@mikesfamous.com.
Jim is the Rally Master and his decision is final! If a bonus is put up on a day that we are closed, anyone who gets it will receive credit so no need to race!!! As the bonuses are claimed new ones will be put up to replace them. If you are riding as a group, all members of your group must have their bikes in the picture, all riders except the photographer must be in the picture as well.
The contest runs thru October 31st and the rider with the most bonus points collected will win a gift card with enough money on it to buy a new set of tires because you'll need them!!! Plus a trophy to give you bragging rights. There will be two contests, one for the members of New London County H.O.G. and one for everyone else. You can only play in one game!! |

James Gilligan of Storrs Ct. was the first to grab the Thanful Arnold House bonus. He couldn't get his H-D out of the shead so he made the 80 mile round trip on his Dirt Bike! Go Jim!! 
Bonus#2 Description: The state owned and operated ferry crosses the Connecticut River beneath Gillette Castle State Park. The vessel can carry 8-9 cars and 49 passengers. Ferry service runs from April 1st until November 30th TAKE A PICTURE OF YOUR BIKE IN FRONT OF THE FERRY ON THE WEST SIDE OF THE RIVER, TRY TO GET THE CASTLE IN THE PHOTO. GO GET IT! RIDE SAFE , HAVE FUN

Bonus #5 Prudence Crandall (1803-1890) opened an academy on the Canterbury Green in 1831 to educate daughters of wealthy local families. Find it and take a picture of your bike in front of it. Good Luck And RIDE SAFE
